Multimedia, as the name suggests, include a rich combination of different electronic venues. The term contrasts to traditional media which only use forms of printed or hand-produced materials. For almost all projects, a multimedia solution will include text, audio, still images, animation, video and interactivity or any navigation capability, meaning that the progress of the content can be controlled by the user. A good way to think of a multimedia product is the well known multimedia presentation (Adobe Captive, Adobe Presenter, Microsoft Office Power Point, etc.). It most certainly has text, audio effects, images, animation (transitional or other), sometimes video, but most importantly: the progress of the presentation is controlled by the presenter i.e. it is interactive.
